Fado from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

It is very rare I ever do a fan art. In fact, this is the first one on DA. So enjoy it, as I rarely ever draw them.

Character owned by Nintendo and the designers. Art by me.

absolutely amazing, great, great picture.

A teacher once asked her student "what are you drawing?"
The student said "A picture of God."
"But no one knows what God looks like," stated the teacher.
The little girl looks up and says, "They will in a minute."

Wow! I love the wind effect you put behind him, and the wonderful linework you did with him. The style kind of reminds me of something you'd see in a coffee shop. (Which is great!) Good work.

Mind though, if I ask how you managed the textures for the background? I'm just branching out into digital art, so my usual bag of tricks aren't applicable.

I draw on paper the finished linework, and then scan the paper textures in from my own personal scanner. I usually play with the layer modes (multiply, ect) until I get the amount of texture I want :]

Pretty clever! I love the hand-drawn look, but there's a lot I can't achieve without some digital tuning, trying for a best of both worlds thing I guess. lol

Thanks so much for taking the time out to help!

I love this. It's not very often I can find a Legend of Zelda fan art that I truly love and Wind Waker holds especially dear to my heart.
